Within one day of arriving in Ottawa, I confirmed that the term “fake news” is real. I touched on this topic in my post from a couple days ago, but i’ll get into more detail. Every day, I walk about 10 km throughout the streets of Ottawa’s downtown area. I take pictures and videos (and a lot of them). Later in the afternoon, I return to my hotel room and watch CBC, CTV, Global, and CNN as well as some online sources. They are all reporting on the story unfairly and inaccurately. I could go on for days on this topic, but I'll use a couple examples from CTV News, since I've been watching it more consistently.
Sat Jan 29th - CTV downplays the size of the movement
I spent a good part of the afternoon near the center stage near parliament hill and walked about 10km throughout the many streets. No one seems to have a number on the crowd size but I can say for sure that there were tens of thousands. We’ve also been told by multiple sources that a large number of trucks weren't able to enter the downtown core and remain outside of the area, waiting. A local contact told us that she gas met with the truckers out at one of these locations. A speaker at the event did report 4.1 million google map hits in Ottawa on this day. This is in a city of 1.15 million. They did state that some people could have hit a few times, but it does give us an idea. I returned to my room later in the afternoon. CTV “live" footage showed a small corner of the crowd. We need to realize the magnitude of how many people are constantly moving throughout the many streets of Ottawa in support of this movement. They are living in trucks, pickups, cars, RVs, and hotels, or houses. They are walking with Canadian flags and signs waving and yelling in support of the truckers, and the movement in general. They are sitting in their trucks and cars honking all day, hanging out in groups around campfires in barrels and lineups for donated burgers and food. Soon enough, it was dark outside our window and their “live” footage still had bright sun. It was from earlier in the day. I caught CTV continuing to downplay the movement, throughout mid week. They reported numbers of 250 and 600, which would have been accurate for the one main stage intersection. It did not include the rest of the city. They made statements like “ a few protesters have arrived “

The above shots were taken of a separate area from the CTV footage, during the same timeframe. You can view some live footage on youtube, although I haven't seen any footage that shows the scope of the whole downtown core. Its a rather large area.
Later in the week, CTV gave up on down playing the size of the crowd’s but instead twisted their narrative into lies about a racist movement, threatening and harassing the citizens of Ottawa.
Sunday Jan 30th
CTV interviews a local individual, claiming they haven't slept in three days.
Fact: We live in a downtown hotel and haven't heard any noise. I’ve spoken with dozens of people living in the downtown core, in their trucks, hotels, as well as residents. Not one has mentioned excessive noise or losing sleep as a result. The truckers have also agreed to refrain from honking their after 8 pm.
Sun Feb 6th
CTV reports 1000 vehicles and 5000 protesters on Saturday Feb 5th. Fox News estimates 3 million. There were far more people than last Saturday. The crowds were thick, throughout all the side streets. It was epic. Make your own assumptions.
Sunday Feb 6th
CTV News reports:
“7 people have been arrested.” Next report: “50 criminal offenses in which 11 are hate crimes”. Next report: “we will be changing all aspects of the law to better deal with situations like this”.
About an hour later, in another report with the executive director of Sparks Street Business Improvement: “there have been NO instances of violence”
Fact: Last weekend, our truck was egged and had the Canadian flag torn off the front grill. We've heard a number of other reports from truckers of this as well as other aggressive behavior from counter protesters against the movement. Above is a picture I took of a convoy truck with egg on the windshield. Do you believe that the truckers and their supporters were involved in the crimes and arrests reported by CTV?
Next report above: “women's shelter staff and clients harassed by demonstrators” following an earlier report of Ottawas Soup Kitchen was reportedly harassed by protesters wanting food” (homeless shelter)
Fact: above are some photos I took of pizza ovens, barbecues, and huge amounts of food being offered to the demonstrators in the streets of Ottawa. All by donation. Its FREE! Its everywhere! Would these happy demonstrators really want to steal food from the homeless?? Ridiculous. If it even happened, it was likely counter protesters “stirring the pot”.
Next report from the Public Health Minister “swastikas and confederate flags” and twists the truth to make it all about “the Vax”
Fact: I have walked a total of over 100 km throughout the streets of Ottawa since this movement started. I have seen thousands of signs. NOT ONE was a swastika or confederate flag. Reports I’ve heard from insiders say one demonstrator had a swastika sign and was lead out of the area immediately. I found one image online, which appears to be mainly out of sight, away from the streets, behind trees.
“KEEP IT PEACEFUL” is the #1 rule here in talks between organizers and participants of this movement. Everyone here seems to understand its of utmost importance. We know that there will be counter protesters trying to cause trouble. We know to stand down, not engage, and let the police deal with the situation. We know if this gets violent, we lose. Antifa was here as well, but they didn't have any luck “stirring the pot”
Over the last nine days, we have witnessed nothing but an extremely happy and smiling crowd, with racial and ethnic diversity. Theres families with kids everywhere. I haven’t even seen one upset person. NOT ONE. Everyone I talk to has statements like “Ive never been so happy in my life and I’ve never seen so many happy people in my life. We are reuniting Canada” everyone feels so comfortable.

Sunday Feb 6 evening
“Ottawa mayor declares a state of emergency”. Why??
The Ottawa police chief is also a very manipulative man. He is a strong force in providing fake news and intimidation. I can tell you that a lot of his police force does not agree with him.
Monday Feb 7 above, Jagmeet Singh reports “this movement is clearly an attempt to overthrow the government” and mentions “the aid of foreign interference” “their intention is to harass the citizens of Ottawa , not the government”
Above, We’ve also caught and called out CBC filming outside the crowds twice. I called them out on it once, recorded on video.
CBC also reported the defacement of the Terry Fox Statue. It had a flag, a hat, and sign on it. I believe the point was to make him look like one of the demonstrators. No damage was done and the items were removed. A convoy group even left flowers at the location.
Its hard to explain just how badly the mainstream news can twist, manipulate and lie about the story. If you were here, you would see it clearly. I’ll often watch it, and I know that that they just twisted and manipulated the true story, although sometimes it difficult for me to pinpoint them on a specific lie. They are very good at hand picking people for interviews that are onside with the government and their narrative. The people often seem to lie themselves, or behave like actors. But keep in mind, they often mix it up, with a somewhat accurate report. Tricky! They are the governments brainwashing machine. Sometimes, even find myself getting caught up in their lies, although I know better. They are very good at what they do. With knowledge of the heavy government funding behind many of these mainstream news outlets, its very clear that they are following the narrative precisely. They are the governments most dangerous and effective weapon.
These news outlets need to be defunded, after the next election.
As I mentioned in one of my previous posts, here are some online news outlets, which have proven to be reporting on this Ottawa demonstration fairly and accurately. Some of these links aren't working, but I highly encourage anyone who hasn't to look them up online!
On TV, Fox News and Wion news seem to be fair and accurate.
